William "Bill" Russell

William “Bill” Russell was born August 20, 1940, in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Sherman Ellsworth Russell and Florence Piel Russell.  He departed this life Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, having attained the age of eighty-three years, seven months, and twenty-one days.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Greensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church.  He was a Diesel mechanic, consultant, and trainer.  He was united in marriage to Bettie Jo Larimore Russell.

Besides his wife he is survived by one sister and brother-in-law: Susan and David Miller of Mitchell Indiana; one sister in law and brother in law: Bernice and Leland Humphrey; his special cat: Little Cat, plus a host of other relatives and friends.

Place and Time of Funeral Service:  Greensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church 2 PM Central Time Sunday, April14, 2024

Visitation:  3 PM – 7 PM Saturday, April 13, 2024,  and 7 AM – 11 AM Sunday, April 14, 2024 at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home and 11:30 AM – 2 PM at Greensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church

Minister:  Rev. Brenson Bishop

Burial:  Greensburg Cemetery

Pallbearers:  Allan Larimore, Tim Larimore, Jason Humphrey, Devin Graybeal, Phillip Nunn, Dakota Westmoreland

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy be donations to the Crossroads Program at Greensburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church
