William Charles “Bill” Haskins was born September 9, 1931 in Green County, KY to the late John Allen Haskins and Paralee Patterson Haskins. He departed this life December 28, 2022, at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital, having attained the age of ninety-one years, three months and nineteen days.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. He was a member of the Layman’s League and the Greensburg Civic Club. He retired from the United States Army after serving for 24 years. He was united in marriage to Almeda Juanita Miranda Haskins, who preceded him in death, September 18, 2020. He is also preceded in death by his siblings: Lester Haskins, Zella Haskins, David Haskins, Catherine Mills, Harlon Haskins, Rosa Lee Haskins, Ruth Allen Haskins and Geneva (Penny) Crenshaw.
He is survived by one son: Charles William Haskins of Louisville, KY, one sister: Lucille Taylor of Indianapolis, Indiana, brother-in-law: Avious Crenshaw (husband of Geneva Crenshaw) and one (his favorite) granddaughter: Baileigh Haskins, plus a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
