Mr. Wendell Johnson was born June 11, 1938 in Floyd County, KY to the late Elmer C. Johnson and Frankie Ray Johnson. He departed this life Friday, August 25, 2017 at Green Hill Nursing and Rehab in Greensburg, KY, having attained the age of seventy-nine years, two months and fourteen days.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Virgie Free Will Baptist Church in Virgie, KY. He was a Television Repairman. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers: Loretta Trogdon, Ruby Chester, Mary Miracle, Ruth Elmore, Burley Johnson and Danny Kaye Johnson.
He is survived by three sisters and two brothers: Nella Jean Clark of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Robert Johnson of Jonancy, KY, Sylvia Sowards of Glasgow, KY, Judy Anderson of Summersville, KY and Roy Johnson of Pikeville, KY, locally by two nieces: Denise Simons and Michelle Gonzalez Romero of Campbellsville, several nieces and nephews, plus a host of other relatives and friends.
