Royce Waddell Compton was born November 4, 1943, in Green County, KY to the late Arthur Delmas Compton and Ruby Geneva Warf Compton. He departed this life Wednesday morning, October 16, 2024, at TJ Samson Hospital in Glasgow, KY, having attained the age of eighty years, eleven months and twelve days.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist Faith. He worked for Brown and Williamson. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister: Norma Sue Compton. Affectionately, his nickname from his great nieces and great nephews is WoWo.
He is survived by one son: Troy Richard Compton of Louisville, one sister and brother-in-law: Lori and David Wolff of Louisville, nieces and nephews, two great nieces, three great nephews, numerous cousins, plus a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside service: Pierce Community Cemetery in Green County, KY, 2:30 p.m. Central Time, Sunday, October 20, 2024
Visitation: Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home , 12 pm until 2 p.m. Central Time, Sunday, October 20, 2024
