Robert Akin

Mr. Robert Akin was born March 17, 1925 in Green County, KY to the late Wesley Woodford Akin and Grace Eleanor Henderson Akin. He departed this life Friday, May 13, 2016 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital, having attained the age of ninety-one years, one month and twenty-six days.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. He was a farmer. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Claris Ethel Henderson Akin, one son and one daughter: Phillip Daryle Akin and Wanda Akin Estes, two brothers and one sister: Wesley Akin, Jr., Leonard Thomas Akin and Lillie Mae Akin.

He is survived by his son-in-law: Jerry Estes of Greensburg, three grandchildren: Mashonda Russell and Bryan Daryle Akin of Campbellsville and Nikki Lee Dennis of Louisville, eight great grandchildren: Noah Alexander Akin, Lily Alexis Akin, Hunter Daryle Akin, Lizbeth Parker Dennis, Lia Reagan Dennis, Shandi Russell, Chase Brockman and Chance Brockman, one great-great grandchild: Nevaeh Grace Brockman and one brother: Theodore Archie Akin of Greensburg and one sister: Roxie Milerdine Paxton of Greensburg, plus a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation: 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Central Time Sunday and after 7 a.m. Monday
