Ricky Neal Jeffries was born June 19, 1962 in Taylor County Kentucky to Florence Judd Jeffries and the late Herbert Jeffries. He departed this life Monday, August 15, 2016 at the Owensboro Health Regional Hospital having attained the age of fifty – four years, one month and sixteen days.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ. He was a decorated United States Marine, and received a sharp shooter badge, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon and Good Medal Conduct. He was employed at IAC in Madisonville. He enjoyed fishing, listening to music, spoiling his two dogs Jack and Gracie and most importantly making people laugh. Besides his father he was preceded in death by two sisters and one step-son: Debbie Jeffries, Julie Shuffett and Scott Huckleberry.
He is survived by his wife Ronda Jeffries and step-son Donnie Huckleberry of Muhlenberg County, his mother Florence Judd Jeffries of Louisville, two brothers and one sister: Chris Jeffries of Greensburg, Rodney Jeffries and his wife Julita of Campbellsville, Karen Perry and her husband David of Louisville, one brother-in-law: Ray Shuffett of Greensburg, his mother-in-law Reba Antle and her husband Allen of Bremen and his father-in-law: Walter Redfern and his wife Janice of Livermore, two step grandchildren: Jonathon and Alex Huckleberry and one step great-granddaughter Kaybry Huckleberry along with several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
