Mr. Kenneth Wayne Rodgers was born June 19, 1922 in Adair County, KY to the late Judge Garnett Rodgers and Essie Myrtle Shuffett. He departed this life Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at his home in Campbellsville, KY.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Liberty Separate Baptist Church. He worked as a cashier at the People’s Bank for 20 Years. He was United States Army Veteran, serving during World War II. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother: Randall Rodgers and two sisters: Ortella Pickett and Audrey Wells Masterson, one son-in-law: Vernon Bagby.
He is survived by his wife, Naomi Ruth Rodgers, one son and his wife Jerry Wayne Rodgers and Anita, all of Campbellsville, KY one daughter Elva Jo Bagby of Greensburg, KY., one brother and his wife Judge Garnett Rodgers, Jr. and Doris of Campbellsville, KY., two sisters: Imogene Looney of Elizabethtown, KY., and Sara Nell Murray of Greensburg, KY., two grandchildren: Laura Jo Little and her husband Chip of Taylorsville and Matthew Wayne Rodgers of Elizabethtown, two great grandchildren: Amara Jade and Savanna Rayne.
Funeral services for Mr. Rodgers will be conducted Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. central time at the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home with Rev. Gleason Bloyd and Rev. Todd Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Separate Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Honors by the Marion County Honor Guard. Visitation will be Friday, August 12, 2016 from 5-8pm C.T. at the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home and after 7:00 A.M. Saturday until the funeral hour. Expressions of sympathy should be made in the form of Gideon Bibles or donations to the Liberty Separate Baptist Church and those can be made at the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home.
