Joe M. Hickerson was born December 11, 1933, in Green County, KY to the late Eutry Hickerson and Mary Alice Finn Hickerson. He departed this life Monday, January 22, 2024, at the Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab, having attained the age of ninety years, one month and eleven days.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Greasy Creek Baptist Church. He was a 50 year member of the Greensburg Masonic Lodge Chapter 54 F & AM. He was a construction worker and he worked in mobile dredging. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife: Doris Long Hickerson on June 20, 2016, two sons: Joe Hickerson, Jr. and Kenneth Ray Hickerson, four brothers: Tencil, Everitt, Farrell and Lowell Hickerson.
He is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law: Rickey and Tammy Hickerson of Greensburg and Marty Hickerson of Campbellsville. He is also survived by two sisters-in-law: Arlene Hickerson of Greensburg and Christine Hickerson of Illinois, grandchildren: Zachary and Ezra Hickerson, great grandchildren: Emma and Payton Hickerson, Kaiden and Peyton Hickerson, plus a host of other relatives and friends.
