Jerry Lane Arnett was born August 31, 1945, in Green County, Kentucky to the late Hervie Arnett and Vera Emma Judd Arnett. He departed this life Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg having attained the age of seventy-six years, six months and five days.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ at a young age. He graduated from Green County High School in 1964. He was owner and operator of Jerry’s Store for 53 years, owner and operator of Jerry’s Towing Business for 35 years. He worked at the ASCS office for 25 years, board member for Jane Todd Crawford Hospital for 20 years. He worked at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home for 20 years. Active member of the Green County Historical Society. Volunteer Fireman for Grab Fire Department. Became a Life Member of VFW Post 5813 Greensburg, Kentucky in August 2006 and Life Member of Rod Lowe Post 124 American Legion Greensburg, Kentucky. He served in the United States Army for 2 years, serving 1 year in Vietnam. He farmed most of his life. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his infant sister: Francis Carol Arnett, brother-in-law: Ralph Clark and sister-in-law: Elva Doris Clark.
He is survived by his wife Lou Ellen Clark Arnett; one sister and brother-in-law: Inis Davis and her husband George of the Grab Community; brother-in-law: James Clark and his wife Joyce of Bowling Green, Alice Davisson and her husband Charlie of Campbellsville; nieces and nephews: Rod Davis and Barbara, Randall Davis and Laura Jo, Rhonda and Kerry “Pete” Judd and Rick Davis and Monica, great nieces and great nephews: Hayli Osborne and Jordan, Tyler Davis, Erin Bayless and Cody and Braden Judd, Josh Judd and Whitney, Levi and Olivia Dobson, Andrew Hedgespeth and Ivy Hedgespeth; great great nieces and great great nephews: Bristol, Brantlee, Brody and Brenna and Cameryn and Peyton Judd.
Funeral services for Jerry Lane Arnett will be conducted 2 p.m., Central Time, Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home with Bro. Todd Davis, Bro. Trent Davis and Bro. Ricky Arnett with burial to follow in the Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church Cemetery, Grab Community of Green County with Full Military Honors.
Visitation is requested after 4 p.m., Central Time, Monday and after 7 a.m., Central Time, Tuesday at the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home.
