James William Despain
April 24, 1941 — November 5, 2017
James William Despain was born April 24, 1941 in Green County, KY. He departed this life Sunday, November 5, 2017 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY, having attained the age of seventy-six years, six months and eleven days.
He made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist Faith. He was a Green County School Bus Driver, a minister, an electrician and carpenter.
He is survived by his wife: Carolyn Jane Akin Despain, three sons: Matt Despain of Campbellsville, John Paul Despain of Greensburg and Bill Despain of Tennessee, one sister: Mary Ross of Bowling Green, five step children: Sandy Caven, Freddy and Coy Scott and Jackie Beams, all of Greensburg and Johnny Scott of Elizabethtown, several grandchildren, step grandchildren, great grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
In honoring the wishes of Mr. Despain cremation was chosen. There will be no visitation or funeral service.
