Eugene Pepper was born March 31, 1935 in Green County, Kentucky, to the late Fredrick Thomas and Betty Berry Pepper.  He departed this life Thursday, January 21, 2021 at the Taylor Regional Hospital having attained the age of eighty-five years, nine months and twenty one days.

He made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Sandlick Separate Baptist Church.  He was a farmer. He was united in marriage to Shirley Davis Pepper on July 6, 1951.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by seven brothers: Paul Pepper, Morgan Pepper, Shreve Pepper, Crawford Pepper, Glen Pepper, Henry Ford Pepper, and Ralph Pepper; four sisters: Rosie Unger, Evelyn Davis, Ruth Chaney, Oris Nunn.

He is survived by his wife Shirley Davis Pepper; one son and daughter-in-law: Tommy and Sharon Pepper; one daughter and son-in-law: Susan and Bobby Scott all of Greensburg; five grandchildren: Joe Calhoun, Lynn Bankard, Will Calhoun, Carrie Hughes, Amy Bloyd; ten great-grandchildren: Amber Abell, Halie Hall, Colton Hughes, Molly Hughes, Emily Treece, Jacob Treece, Sarah Jo Calhoun, Kenneth Bankard, Jacob Bankard, and Jacob Scott; one great-great grandson:  Holland Hall; one sister: JoAnn Ramsey of Franklin, Kentucky; two sisters-in-law: Joyce Pepper of Greensburg and Nell Pepper of North Carolina; one brother-in-law: Ray Unger of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Funeral services for Eugene Pepper will be conducted 2 p.m., Central Time, Sunday January 24, 2021 at the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home with Bro. Richie Curtis and Bro. Colton Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church Cemetery in the Grab Community of Green County.

A walk-through visitation will be from 10 a.m., Central Time, Sunday until the funeral hour.
