Mr. Eugene Stanley Mosz, currently of Campbellsville, KY., was born in Chicago, Illinois on February 1, 1932, to the late Stanley and Mary Durlak Mosz. He departed this life on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at his residence, having attained the age of ninety-two years, four months and eleven days.
He had made a profession of faith and was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. He was a Sergeant and served in the Korean War receiving the Korean Service Ribbon, three Bronze Service Stars, the United Nations Service Medal, and The National Defense Service Medal. He was an active member of the American Legion Rod Lowe Post 124 of Greensburg. He was employed with General Foods as a Maintenance Mechanic until his retirement. He loved music and dancing and was an outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and bird watching with an extra interest in purple martins.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Pinkie “Dimples” Ora Bagby being wed on June 4, 1955.
Survivors include one son: Stephen Anthony Mosz and wife Christine; one daughter: Sharon Ann Mosz; one brother: Frank Mosz; three grandchildren: Kimberlee Hmurovic, Nicholas Mosz, and Samantha Krylowicz and four great-grandchildren: Zosia, Athena, Amelia and Aurora.
Full Military Honors provided by the Marion County Veteran's Honor Guard will be 11 a.m. Central Time Thursday, September 19, 2024 at Greasy Creek Cemetery in the Exie Community of Green County.
