David Taylor Despain

David Taylor DeSpain of Glasgow, KY was born April 7, 1946, in Green County, KY to the late Joseph Foster DeSpain and Mary Lois Bloyd DeSpain.  He departed this life Friday, January 24, 2025, at the Shanti Niketan Hospice House in Glasgow, KY.

David was an elder at Clear Point Cumberland Presbyterian Church.  He was a business teacher at Washington County High School and co-owner of Greensburg Bottling Company.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephew Benjamin DeSpain.

Survivors include his wife, Marsha DeWeese DeSpain, her children - Erin Lovell (Tracy) and Whitney Taylor (Brent), and two grandchildren, Kip Taylor and Gideon Lovell. He is also survived by his brothers, Joe DeSpain (Ann) of Campbellsville, Phil DeSpain (Jeannie) of Tell City, IN, James DeSpain (Mary) of Greensburg, and

several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be 10 am CT Monday, January 27, 2025, at Foster-Toler- Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg with Bro. Darrell Pickett officiating.  Burial will follow in the Greensburg Cemetery.  Visitation will be 1 pm CT until 5 pm CT Sunday and after 7 am CT Monday at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, alternate expressions of sympathy may be made to the Shanti Niketan Hospice House, 1020 Glenview Drive, Glasgow, KY 42141 or The Gideons International.  These can be made at the funeral home.
