Darrell Ray Compton was born June 8, 1968 in Adair County, KY to Betty Nell Moran Compton of Louisville and the late Ernest Delbert Compton. He departed this life Thursday, August 11, 2016 at the Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, KY, having attained the age of forty-eight years, two months and three days.
Darrell had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Friendship Separate Baptist Church, Louisville, KY. He was a disabled truck driver and mechanic.
He is survived by his wife: Sarah Jones Compton, children: Noah Matthew Compton and Ally Nicole Compton, his mother: Betty Nell Moran Compton, two sisters-in-law: Angie Brown and Cathy Barker, all of Louisville.
Funeral services for Darrell Ray Compton will be conducted 2 p.m. Central Time Sunday at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg with Rev. Garnett Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove of the Nolynn Association Cemetery in the Grab Community of Green County. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday and after 7 a.m. Sunday at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg.
