Daniel J. "Dan" Thiron

Mr. Daniel J. “Dan” Thiron was born August 17, 1955 in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan, to the late William J. Thiron and Bernice Debruyne Thiron.  He departed this life Wednesday October 6, 2021, at the Green Hill Rehabilitation and Care, having attained the age of 66 years, 1 months, 20 days.

He was raised in Harper Woods, Michigan and graduated from all boy’s Catholic high school in St. Claire Shore, Michigan. He was a truck driver and came alive behind the wheel. He loved seeing the cities and states. He enjoyed the outdoors and being in nature, cutting wood, and shooting guns.   Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister: Mary Ellen Zitko.

He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Michael and Kellen Thiron of Frankton, Indiana; three daughters and two sons-in-law: Christina Lynne Thiron of Campbellsville, Katelin Elizabeth and Josh Taylor of Auburn, Kentucky, and Amanda Lin and Lantz Wheeler of Huntington Beach, California; one brother and sister-in-law: Mark William and Rita Thiron of Chevy Chase, Maryland; one sister: Nancy A. Durbin of Brighton, Michigan; one brother-in-law: John R. Zitko of Washington, Pennsylvania and 5 grandchildren: Chelsea Kendall, Madelynne Kendall, Ava Taylor, Reed Thiron, and Owen Taylor.

Funeral services for Daniel J. “Dan” Thiron will be conducted 2 p.m., Central Time, Friday October 8, 2021, at the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home with Bro. Trent Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Pierce Community Cemetery.

Visitation is requested from 12:30 p.m., Central Time Friday, until the funeral hour.

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy can be made to the Hosparus of Green River, and these can be made at the funeral home.
