Cora Lee (Mitchell) Young

Ms. Cora Lee Mitchell Young was born September 12, 1952 in Green County, Kentucky to the late Lewis Johnson Mitchell and Faye Lane Scott Mitchell.  She departed this life Saturday, September 11, 2021 at her home in Greensburg, having attained the age of sixty-eight years, eleven months and twenty-nine days.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of 2nd Baptist Church in Greensburg.  She was a retired Phlebotomist.  She worked at the Sycamore Memorial Hospital for two years, Jane Todd Crawford Hospital for thirty-eight years, she also worked twenty-five years for Green Hill Manor Nursing Home.  Besides her parents, she is preceded in death one  sister:  Sharon Mitchell, one brother-in-law:  Todd Moser, three nephews:  Brian Mitchell, Timothy Kuehl and Joshua Thompson, one great niece:  Zhon'a Young and one great nephew:  Elijah Mitchell.

She is survived by two daughters:  Marva Schrembs and Myra Brown (Rich); one son: Marty Young (Kristi) all of Greensburg;  three brothers:  Wilson Mitchell (Ramona) of Marengo, Illinois, Herman Mitchell of Sycamore, Illinois and Kelley Mitchell (Shannon) of Campbellsville;  three sisters , Patricia Moser of DeKalb, Illinois, Ida Mitchell-Keller (Tracy) of Cortland, Illinois, Mary Mitchell-Butts (David) of DeKalb, Illinois; eleven grandchildren:  Nicholas Sehlinger, Darian and Mya Schrembs, Isaiah Young and Isaac Young, Lyrik Marr, Ryan Sears, Micahla Sears and Jayla Sears, Caselynn Brown and Remy Brown; nine great grandchildren:  Bennett Schrembs and Luke Schrembs, Rhylee Riggs, Luxten Marr and Ledger Marr, Daxton Sears and Mihlaya Sears, Adler Reardon and Braelynn Hood; a special niece:  DeVona McElroy;  special great nephew:  Zachary Young,  plus a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Ms. Cora Lee Mitchell Young will be conducted  1 p.m., Central Time, Friday, September 17, 2021 at the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home with Rev. Andre' Calhoun, Rev. David Mitchell, and Rev. Ryan Hardin officiating. Burial will follow in the Mitchell Cemetery.

Visitation is requested from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., Central Time, Thursday and after 7 a.m., Central Time, Friday at the funeral home.
