Charles "Charlie" Dencil Simpson

Charles “Charlie” Dencil Simpson was born December 16, 1942 to the late Cecil “Teetle” and Alline Milby Simpson in Green County, KY. He departed this life Saturday, January 20, 2018 at his home in Green County having attained the age of seventy-five years, one month and four days.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member and trustee of Fry Baptist Church. He retired from Greensburg Manufacturing and was a farmer. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his son Charles Kendall “Ken” Simpson.
He is survived by his wife Elaine Burris Simpson, one step son Tony Gray, one brother: Winfred “Wimp” (Glenda) Simpson, four sisters: Willow Dean (Butch) Jewell, Elaine Bishop, Mitzi (Rendell) Heath all of Greensburg, KY., and Shirley Blackwood of Crocker, MO. One brother-in-law: Danny (Pam) Burris, one sister-in-law: Kim (James “PeeDiddle”) Darnell, his mother-in-law: Flodenia Burris, four grandchildren: Paige Shepherd, Daniel Nathan “Aaron” Blankenship, Emily Simpson and Trevor Gray all of Greensburg, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, a special Aunt: Eugenia Simpson and special friend and nurse: Mary Tena Smith.
Graveside Service: 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 22, 2018 at Summer Shade Cemetery in Green County, KY
