Barbara Adkins

Mrs. Barbara Adkins was born in Franklin, Ind. to the late Naomi Alsup and Louis Ervin Lovins. She departed this life Friday evening in Greensburg having attained the age of seventy years, one month and twenty-two days.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Powell Valley Church in Shoals, Indiana. She was also a member of Job’s Daughter. She worked as a cook and store clerk in a deli in Indiana. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Allison Adkins, one son, Jeffery Allen Adkins and two sisters: Carol Ploughe and Tammy Young.

She is survived by her two daughters and their spouses: Vicky Lynn Anderson and Todd of Greensburg, KY., and Kerry Ann Adkins and Robert Tirey of Shoals, Ind. Three sisters and one brother: Belinda Simpson and Terry Taylor of Greensburg, KY, Dale Lovins of Somerset, KY and Connie Mason of Cuzco, Ind., six grandchildren: Courtney and Brad Otero, Amber Royston, Nathan Tyler, Daniel Thompson, Jeffery Adkins Jr., Jeb Anderson, five great-grandchildren plus a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation: 5- 8 PM CT Monday, April 15, 2019 and after 7 AM CT Tuesday, April 16, 2019 until the Funeral Hour
