Mr. Alton Milby was born January 26, 1939 in Green County, KY to the late Jim and Alice Milby. He departed this life Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Golden Living Center/Green Hill Manor in Greensburg, having attained the age of seventy-seven years, eight months and six days.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Oak Forest Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He worked for Warren Feed Mill. He was a farmer. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by an infant daughter: Angel Lee Milby, five brothers and two infant sisters: Lucian, Alfred, Clell, Ted, Thurman, Dorothy Mae and Elizabeth Marie Milby and one deceased brother-in-law: Joe Martin.

He is survived by his wife Ruby Agnes Arnett Milby of Greensburg, one son and daughter-in-law: Alton Milby, Jr and Carol of Taylorsville, one daughter and son-in-law: Janet Perkins and David of Greensburg, two brothers and their wives: Ronnie O. and Pat Milby and Charles and Jean Milby of Greensburg, one sister: Adell Martin of Louisville, four sisters-in-law: Mary Milby and Nancy Milby of Greensburg, Elizabeth “Libby” Milby of Summersville and Mardell Milby of Indianapolis, Indiana, five grandchildren: Jordan Bates, Danielle Perkins, Keaton Perkins, James Milby and Jonathon Milby and three great grandchildren, plus a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Alton Milby will be conducted 10 a.m. Central Time Thursday at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg with Rev. Joe Milby officiating. Burial will follow in the Wilson Cemetery in Green County. Friends of Mr. Alton Milby may call from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Central Time Wednesday and after 7 a.m. Thursday at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home.

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy be donations to the Wilson Cemetery Fund. These can be made at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg.
