Albert Parent

Mr. Albert Parent was born August 23, 1924 in Grand Isle, Maine to the late Patrick Parent and Odile Ayotte Parent. He departed this life Sunday, April 30, 2017 at his home in Summersville, KY, having attained the age of ninety-two years, eight months and seven days.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Greensburg. He was a United States Army Veteran, serving during World War II. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Constance Tobin Parent, his son, Brian Parent, and several siblings.

He is survived by two sons and two daughters: Richard Parent of New Hartford, New York, Linda Martel of Summersville, KY, Gerry Parent of Louisville and Carole Sharkey of Yarmouth, Maine, 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, two special caregivers: Cheryl Miller of Columbia, KY and Mary Huckaby of Elkhorn, KY

Visitation: after 1 p.m. Monday, May 8, 2017 at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church

Burial: Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery, Caribou, Maine

The Family has requested that expressions of sympathy be donations to Hosparus of Green River. These can be made at the church or at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg.
